I have the 1st edition book with the yellow cover from December 1986 it's only 155 pages plus the glossary the new edition is like a huge law or cooking book.
Is it really necessary for a Chess book to be this big? Reuben Fines Chess the Easy Way (admittedly dated openings) cuts to the chase in less than 175 pages no need for students to break their heads.
