Naming Pets After Chess Terms/Openings?

I have a fish called... Blunder
A dog named Boris
and a cat named BadBishop.
The parrot is Bogolyubov but I just
call him Bogo.

Obviously, you should name a fish Bobby.

If you have a lazy dog or cat, Zugzswang is a good name because he doesn't want to move.

'perpetual' for a dog if hes barking all the time. And if hes destroying the postmans trousers, call him 'checkmate' because thats what you say to the postman, 'will you take a cheque, mate?' ...
and if you are a satanist, call your cat 'sacrifice', or 'exchange sacrifice' depending on how far you go.
@seanysean yes as I said most people don't know that it is properly pronounced with a 'k' which is why you've heard both pronunciations. But just because many people do something one way doesn't mean its the correct way to do it. The correct pronunciation is with a hard k as that is the way it is pronounced in Italian, and fianchetto is an Italian loan word.
