Notation for Chess Games

I'm an older player...grew up on "descriptive notation" for recording games...although I can use "algebraic Notation"...I do to this day... think in descriptive...any chance of adding a feature so I could select "descriptive" for my li chess game recordings? P-K4 ya all...
Well...I gave this 3 days to stew and no comments at all...I guess i was hoping some would appreciate my sentiment. I guess a computer needs an algebraic grid to do its work. I have experienced chess before computers{when you find people to play chess with in person} and have enjoyed the advent of playing on line. I wonder if there are any other older players who remember using descriptive notation and its true classic appeal >
I'm only 22, but I remember using descriptive when I was very young, it was a pain, and I much prefer algebraic. I'm not sure if there would be any unforeseen issues implementing it, but it would be nice to have around just for nostalgia.
As I am merely a junior I was completely unaware of the existence of descriptive notation before reading this thread, so naturally I did some research. From the looks of things algebraic notation looks easier to understand (at least to me), but as #3 said I think if it's posssible to implement then it should be something you would be able to toggle, as older players would like the nostalgic and classic feel from it.
Zugzwang69, I can understand your nostalgic sentiment, but apart from nostalgia descriptive notation really is a pain in the butt and algebraic notation completely took over for a reason.

It's a bit like asking for a site translation in Latin :-)

Having said that - lichess is open-source, so maybe somebody will add it someday anyway.
