Look, it's never worth putting up some sort of mask so that someone likes you.
I assume that if you're trying to get a girl you want to stay with them forever or "till death do us part".
How tiring is it to put on a mask for a couple hours while being with her? Now how tiring does several decades sound?
A lot of people will tell you that all you need is money, social status, looks, etc. But at the end of the day, people with money, social status, looks and everything else are also the people that seem to not have successful relationships.
Have you seen how often celebrities break up?
Have you seen how many girlfriends "the popular guy" has?
Or the "rich guy"?
Ofc I'm not saying you should just not work hard at all and expect everything to come to you - but I think how your everyday actions are far more important in a relationship than anything else, whether that relationship be romantic or no.
