It would be interesting if one could create a game that's not necessarily of a defined type, but instead you check which variants you're willing to play. Then it shows as multiple games, perhaps, one for each variant chose, but as soon as someone opponent picks one (of a labeled variant), the "other" ones vanish instantly. An "all/some-in-one" game.
I suppose that would increase the number of people playing some variants, specially chess960, but that's just a guess. I have the impression that people would prefer to bet that someone else is more likely to wan't to play standard, and then choses standard even when one would be willing to play some other variant.
