Capture the Flag variant

I don't know if I actually created this variant, I haven't looked to see if it's out there already. ( well, I have a little but didn't find it)

But the idea is quite simple and there's just one rule: normal game of chess, the only difference being the King can't move. I've played it a few times with friends. It shakes up the dynamics well enough. And it's enjoyable to play. Just wanted to suggest it is a variant.

If it is out there already and you've considered it, never mind. But if not, that would be my request for a variant.

This one is probably the easiest to implement out of of any I've heard! I'll try to whip up a version to play, maybe.

both players just have to agree to play this way at the begining :D

Also how about no checkmate, since it is titled "capture the flag", instead of checkmate, a person has to capture the opponent's king to win

I think it needs some computer checking. (for example antichess is uninteresting because it's solved and there's a win sequence for white)

Hmmm. Computer checking. Interesting. How? Is there an app for that?

#6 I had thought perhaps, as an additional rule, only the queen could take the king. But didn't like that scenario for the fact that there would be a way to win the game without "capturing the flag."

But to spice things up a little, maybe before the king can be checkmated the flag (queen) must be captured... that might be fun. I'll have to try it some.
