[Horde] Missing rule ?

Hi,
I've been playing Horde for a while and I only recently noticed that the en passant rule doesn't work when it's a pawn from the 1st rank that moves two squares forward. This shouldn't be the case, in my opinion.

Thanks for your consideration to improve the rules.
While being new to Horde, I do second the motion in good spirits. The en-passant capture was created to account for the
tempi liabilities incurred when pawns advance two squares in one go. If the pawn from the first rank can advance two squares in one go then en-passant rule seems to be appropriate.

Thank you

I've asked this to the developers, and it's not a missing rule or a bug. @Toadofsky told me:

> months ago I created a github issue; it was closed since a horde expert said that's not a bug.
Indeed not a bug. It's a very nice rule.

Horde rules are perfect, very well balanced.

According to lichess database black 51,77% /white 43,89% / draw 4,33%

Player Svenos created this thread probably just because he is too much concerned about our ongoing horde game en.lichess.org/EDVI7Ov876oX
where he has hard times breaking through pawns monolith and thus his last hope to change loosing situation is to change rules in blacks favor.
Good to see that we have rules page for variants.
Here in horde rules page
lichess.org/variant/horde
should be added also draw conditions, explaining stalemate. A lot of new players don't know that white can be stalemated.
...........
The game declared as a draw if Pieces or Pawns that remained on the board have no legal moves (stalemate) or Pawns have only 1 piece or pawn (insufficient material)
#4 It's not unreasonable to argue about the wisdom of said rules, especially in light of comments #2 and #1 as well as FIDE's unambiguous definition of en passant.

Thankfully, it doesn't much matter since it's difficult to obtain positions where Black gets to play an en passant move, and since lichess rules (though confusing) are unambiguous.
#6 @Nonpareil:

"All pieces moves similar to standard chess." implies checkmate and stalemate conditions (among resignation, etc.). There is no particular addition in Horde that modifies or creates checkmate or stalemates to justify explaining checkmate or stalemate. (The variant finish rule is mentioned though.)

#7 @Toadofsky:
For Black to be in a position where "edge en-passant capturing" fails, they are likely to 1. gain a passed pawn with no pawn on the other side to stop them anyway, or 2. the king can run in the way to catch it.

In fact, NOT allowing en-passant capturing for the first rank enforces Black and White to treat unmoved pawns even more carefully than before.
